THE OPPORTUNITYBuild Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established Housing Association in Bedfordshire to recruit an experienced Multi-Trader to join their responsive repairs team on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for long-term job security, a stable workload and the benefits of permanent employment within the social housing sector.
The role involves carrying out responsive maintenance and repair works across social housing properties, with a particular focus on void properties. You will complete a variety of repairs and remedial works to bring empty homes up to a high lettable standard before they are re-let.
THE ROLE
Carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance across social housing properties
Completing a range of works within void properties prior to re-let
Carpentry and joinery repairs
Installing and repairing doors, frames, skirting boards and architraves
Repairing windows and minor joinery
Carrying out basic plumbing repairs
Completing patch plastering and making good
Painting and decorating
Identifying additional works and defects requiring attention
Bringing properties up to a high lettable standard
Working to agreed programmes and handover deadlines
Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
Maintaining high standards of workmanship and health & safetyWHAT'S ON OFFER?

Ideally, you'll have:
Previous experience in responsive property maintenance
Experience working on void properties
Social housing, housing association or council experience is highly desirable
A strong core trade, such as carpentry, plumbing, plastering or decorating
Ability to complete a variety of general maintenance and repair tasks
Good attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
Good understanding of health & safety
