A growing fire safety consultancy is seeking an experienced Fire Risk Assessor to become the first appointment within a new Leeds team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Fire Risk Assessor who wants to combine technical delivery with long-term progression into leadership, validation or wider fire safety consultancy.
The Fire Risk Assessor's Role
The successful Fire Risk Assessor will initially work across Yorkshire, with travel expected to reduce and become more local as the regional team expands.
Key responsibilities will include:
Carrying out fire risk assessments across residential and commercial premises
Completing reports through a tablet-based assessment system
Taking ownership of project portfolios alongside senior technical support
Assisting with quality assurance and validation as experience develops
Supporting and mentoring new assessors joining the team
Helping establish regional standards and ways of working
Contributing to improvements in reporting systems, data and live action tracking
Maintaining technical knowledge through regular training and CPD
All scheduling and administration are managed centrally, allowing the Fire Risk Assessor to focus on technical delivery and client work.
The Fire Risk Assessor
The successful Fire Risk Assessor will ideally have:
2+ years' experience carrying out fire risk assessments
A recognised fire risk assessment qualification
Level 4 Fire Risk Assessment qualification desirable
Strong knowledge of fire risk assessment principles
Knowledge of Approved Document B and BS 9999 beneficial
NFRAR or IFSM registration advantageous
Confidence using tablets and digital reporting systems
Full UK driving licence
An interest in progressing into leadership, validation or specialist technical work
