Job Type: Temp to Perm
Hours: 38 hours per week, 4-day working week
Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday, 7:15am to 5:15pm (30-minute unpaid break)
The Company
Our client is a well-established precision engineering company based in Chorley, providing high-quality machined components to a range of industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner to join their skilled manufacturing team.
The Role
As a Skilled CNC Turner, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines to manufacture precision-engineered components to exact customer specifications. You will be expected to work independently, interpret technical engineering drawings and ensure all products meet the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Programming, setting and operating CNC Turning machines with Fanuc controls
Manufacturing precision components to tight tolerances
Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and technical specifications
Selecting the correct tooling and machining methods for each job
Carrying out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks
Working independently to prioritise workloads and meet production deadlines
Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
Identifying and resolving machining or programming issues
Ensuring components meet quality and dimensional requirements
Candidate Requirements
CNC Turner with a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
Proven experience programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines
Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls
Ability to work from technical engineering drawings without supervision
Capable of working independently and managing your own workload
Experience machining a variety of materials to tight tolerances
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
Positive, reliable and proactive approach to work
