What will you be doing?
As a Sensory Support Assistant, you'll work closely with pupils and the wider school team to provide personalised support throughout the school day.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing individual and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
Helping pupils manage sensory challenges and feel comfortable within the school environment.
Supporting pupils to develop independence, confidence and emotional regulation.
Using sensory strategies and activities to help pupils engage with learning.
Supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom.
Building positive, trusting relationships with young people.
Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals.
Helping create a calm, safe and inclusive environment where pupils can thrive.
Encouraging pupils to participate in activities and celebrate their achievements.
