We’re partnered with an established precision engineering business producing high-quality machined components for a range of industrial sectors.
The business operates a modern CNC machining facility, working across sliding-head and fixed-head machinery and producing complex components to tight, micron-level tolerances.
Due to continued demand, they’re looking for an experienced CNC Turner / Setter to join their production team.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for setting, programming and operating CNC turning machinery, producing precision components accurately and efficiently within a low-to-medium volume environment.
What You’ll Be Doing

Setting and operating CNC turning machines

Programming using FANUC controls

Working with Star and Miyano machines
-
Working across slidinghead and fixed-head turning
-
Selecting tooling, workholding and cutting parameters
-
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
-
Producing components to tight and micronlevel tolerances
-
Carrying out inprocess inspection and dimensional checks
-
Identifying and resolving basic machining issues
-
Working closely with the production team to meet delivery requirements

Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping
What We’re Looking For
-
Proven experience as a CNC Turner
-
Strong CNC turning and machinesetting experience
-
FANUC programming experience
-
Star or Miyano machine experience – essential
-
Slidinghead or fixed-head turning experience
-
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
-
Experience machining to tight tolerances
-
Good understanding of tooling and cutting conditions
-
Twinspindle experience advantageous
-
Strong attention to detail and quality

Reliable, professional and team focused
