We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established housing association for a Temporary Lettings Assistant to support their team in Leicester.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer service skills who enjoys working with people and would like to gain experience within the housing sector. Previous lettings experience is desirable but not essential, as full support will be provided.
The role has been created to assist with a backlog of vacant properties and will involve working directly with prospective tenants to help properties move through the lettings process efficiently.
Key Responsibilities of a Lettings Assistant:
Conduct property viewings with prospective tenants across Leicester and surrounding areas.
Meet with prospective tenants face-to-face and provide a professional, welcoming service.
Support tenants through the lettings process and help them complete the necessary paperwork.
Assist with signing tenants up to properties and completing relevant documentation.
Liaise with tenants, colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth lettings process.
Help reduce the current backlog of vacant properties by progressing lets efficiently.
Provide clear information and guidance to tenants throughout the process.
Maintain accurate records and ensure relevant information is updated promptly.
Travel between properties and locations across Leicester and the surrounding areas.About You:
Has excellent customer service and communication skills.
Is confident and comfortable dealing with people face-to-face.
Has a professional, friendly and approachable manner.
Ideally has experience within housing, lettings, property or a customer-facing environment.
Can build positive relationships with tenants from a range of backgrounds.
Is organised and able to manage multiple tasks.
Is confident working independently while also being part of a wider team.
Has a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as regular travel between properties will be required.
Is available to work Monday to Friday for the duration of the temporary assignment.Previous lettings experience is desirable but not essential.
