Workplace Assistant
Hourly Rate: £14.94 per hour
Location: Birmingham
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, ad hoc shifts

Search are currently working with a fantastic client based in the Birmingham area who are looking for an individual to join their team as a Workplace Assistant on a temporary ad hoc basis. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a corporate environment and be confident supporting workplace, facilities and front-of-house operations to ensure a smooth and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact, providing a professional welcome to visitors and colleagues.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Set up and maintain meeting rooms, including AV equipment and refreshments.
- Support the coordination of meetings, events and catering requirements.
- Monitor workplace standards, ensuring communal areas remain tidy, stocked and presentable.
- Assist with workplace communications, office initiatives and colleague engagement activities.
- Manage workplace requests, office supplies and general administrative tasks.
- Provide proactive support to ensure the office operates efficiently and delivers an excellent workplace experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Workplace Assistant, Facilities Assistant, Front of House or similar role
- Previous experience working within a corporate environment
- Excellent IT skills, including proficiency across the full Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team
