Our client is a growing fire and safety business providing expert compliance services to residential and commercial customers across London and the surrounding areas. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Trainee Fire Door Inspector to join their team.
The great thing about this opportunity? You don't need previous fire safety experience. Full training will be provided, giving you the chance to learn on the job, work towards relevant qualifications and build a career within the fire safety industry.
What will you be doing?
This is a varied, field-based role where you'll visit residential and commercial properties across London and the surrounding areas.
Your responsibilities will include:

Testing fire alarm and emergency lighting systems
-
Carrying out fire, health and safety checks
-
Conducting routine fire door inspections
-
Recording findings accurately using a tablet
-
Visiting a variety of customer sites
-
Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
-
Working independently once fully trained
-
Managing your workload and completing visits within agreed timescales
You will be representing the business when you are out visiting customers, so being reliable, presentable and confident dealing with people is really important.
What are we looking for?
Our Client are much more interested in your attitude and potential than whether you've worked in fire safety before.
You will need:

A full UK driving licence and your own vehicle

Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Basic Microsoft Office skills

Good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines

The confidence to work independently and use your own initiative

A reliable and professional approach

A genuine interest in learning and developing
