We are working with a well-established and growing civil engineering contractor to assist them in hiring a Planner for their growing team in the East of Scotland.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Planner to join a forward-thinking business delivering a range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will work closely with the operational and commercial teams, helping to ensure projects are properly planned, monitored and delivered to programme.
As the Planner your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
· Developing and maintaining detailed construction programmes from tender through to completion.
· Working closely with Project Managers and Site Teams to establish realistic programmes and project milestones.
· Monitoring progress against programme and identifying potential delays, risks and opportunities.
· Producing regular programme updates, reports and progress information for internal and external stakeholders.
· Supporting project teams with short-term, look-ahead and recovery programmes.
· Liaising with clients, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure programme requirements are understood and achieved.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
· Previous experience working as a Planner within civil engineering, construction or infrastructure.
· Strong knowledge of construction planning and programming techniques.
· Experience using planning software such as Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject.
· The ability to analyse programme performance and identify potential risks and delays.
· Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
