Long-Term Opportunity at RAF Brize Norton
Danny Sullivan Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Concrete Finisher to join major, long-term construction and infrastructure projects at RAF Brize Norton.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on nationally significant Ministry of Defence infrastructure projects, with ongoing work expected throughout 2026 and beyond.
Projects include the £9 billion Ministry of Defence housing strategy, delivering 265 new-build military family homes, alongside major airfield resurfacing and infrastructure upgrades designed to modernise critical facilities at the UK's largest RAF station.
Working Pattern
7 days on / 2 days off or 12 days on / 2 days off
Pay Rates - PAYE
£18.08 per hour PAYE - Standard Rate
£22.60 per hour PAYE - Overtime after 10 hours
£24.05 per hour PAYE - Night Rate (7pm-7am)
£27.12 per hour PAYE - Weekend Rate

Your Role as a Concrete Finisher
As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for carrying out concrete finishing works to a high standard across major construction and infrastructure projects on site.
Your responsibilities will include:
Placing, spreading and levelling concrete
Screeding and tamping concrete to achieve the required levels and finish
Hand finishing and floating concrete surfaces
Using power floats and other concrete finishing equipment where required
Finishing concrete around edges, joints, channels and other details
Forming and finishing concrete slabs, floors, bases and external surfaces
Working to specified levels, falls and tolerances
Carrying out concrete repairs and remedial finishing where required
Working alongside groundworkers, steel fixers, shuttering carpenters and other site trades
Assisting with concrete pours and ensuring work areas are prepared before concrete placement
Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment
Maintaining safe and tidy working areas
Reporting hazards, unsafe conditions and defects immediately
Following all site, health & safety and MOD procedures at all times
What We're Looking For
To be considered for this role, you should have:
A valid CSCS card relevant to Concrete Finishing
Proven experience working as a Concrete Finisher on construction, civil engineering or infrastructure projects
Strong practical experience in concrete placement and finishing
Experience with screeding, tamping, floating and hand finishing
Experience working with concrete slabs, bases, floors or similar structures
Ability to work accurately to levels, falls and specified finishes
Experience working around heavy plant and machinery
Good understanding of construction site health & safety procedures
Good communication skills
A reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude
Ability to work effectively as part of a busy site team
Previous experience on large construction, infrastructure or MOD projects is advantageous
