A well-established and growing fire safety consultancy based in London is seeking an experienced Fire Safety Consultant to join their specialist team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Fire Safety Consultant with strong Fire Risk Assessment experience to work across a varied portfolio of projects throughout London and the surrounding areas.
The Fire Safety Consultant's Role
The successful Fire Safety Consultant will deliver professional fire safety and Fire Risk Assessment services across a diverse range of properties and projects.
The Fire Safety Consultant will be responsible for undertaking detailed Fire Risk Assessments, identifying potential fire hazards and providing clear, practical recommendations to clients. They will work independently while collaborating with other fire safety professionals to ensure projects are delivered accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities will include:
Undertaking Type 1-4 Fire Risk Assessments where appropriate
Producing clear and comprehensive Fire Risk Assessment reports
Providing professional fire safety advice to clients
Identifying remedial actions and supporting clients with compliance
Managing a varied portfolio of Fire Risk Assessor projects
Maintaining current knowledge of relevant fire safety legislation and guidance
The Fire Safety Consultant
The ideal Fire Safety Consultant will have demonstrable experience delivering Fire Risk Assessments across a range of buildings and sectors.
Relevant fire safety qualifications are required, with qualifications such as NEBOSH Fire Safety, Level 3/4 Fire Risk Assessment, FPA qualifications, IFE qualifications or equivalent highly desirable.
Membership of a recognised professional body such as the IFE, IFSM or equivalent would also be advantageous.
Strong report-writing, communication and client-facing skills are essential.
