CMM Inspector / Operator

6 month contract
£19.50/hour (Umbrella Co rate)
Key Responsibilities

Manage measurement and inspection requirements across operations, including moulding validations, in-process inspections and non-conformance investigations.

Set and load a CMM, arrange suitable fixturing and carry out Measurement System Analysis (MSA).

Make sure the CMM is running as intended, monitoring it to ensure it runs smoothly.

Analyse measurement data, investigate issues and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Maintain accurate records and work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality and Verification Services to support compliance and continuous improvement.
Key Skills and Experience

Excellent attention to detail, and the ability to follow strict SOP's and tasks is essential.

Previous experience in a machine loading / operating or inspection role within a manufacturing or engineering environment would be beneficial.

Proven experience with CMMs - loading them before other engineers operate them

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and measurement data.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Good communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities
