Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a specialist primary SEN school in Hyde, seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 4-11 with a range of additional needs.
This welcoming and well-resourced school supports children with complex learning difficulties, autism, sensory needs, communication difficulties, and medical needs. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and therapists to provide tailored support that enables every child to thrive both academically and socially.
The Role
As a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex SEND needs
Assist with communication strategies, sensory activities, and personalised learning programmes
Support pupils with personal care where required
Promote engagement, independence, and positive behaviour
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to meet individual pupil needs
Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience supporting children or young people with SEND, complex needs, or autism
Is patient, resilient, and enthusiastic about making a difference
Can build positive relationships with pupils who may have communication and sensory challenges
Has experience in education, care, support work, health and social care, psychology, or a related field
Is comfortable supporting pupils with personal care needs when required
