Looking for a Vehicle Damage Assessor role where your estimating expertise can be put to good use within a professional Bodyshop environment? This St Albans opportunity is suited to an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor / VDA / Bodyshop Estimator who can accurately assess vehicle damage and produce high-quality repair estimates.
You'll be responsible for assessing accident-damaged vehicles, preparing accurate estimates and helping ensure repairs progress efficiently through the Bodyshop, while working a consistent Monday-to-Friday schedule.

THE ROLE
As a Vehicle Damage Assessor / VDA / Bodyshop Estimator, you will be responsible for assessing accident-damaged vehicles and producing accurate repair estimates to ensure repairs are planned and completed efficiently.
·Inspect damaged vehicles and accurately assess the extent of repair required.
·Produce detailed repair estimates using appropriate estimating systems.
·Identify required parts, labour operations and repair methods.
·Ensure estimates accurately reflect the required repair work.
·Liaise with customers, insurers, engineers and Bodyshop colleagues throughout the repair process.
·Maintain accurate records and update repair information on relevant systems.
·Support the efficient workflow of vehicles through the Bodyshop.
·Ensure damage assessments and estimates are completed accurately and professionally.
ABOUT YOU
This opportunity would suit an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor / VDA / Bodyshop Estimator / Vehicle Estimator with strong technical knowledge and excellent attention to detail.
·Previous experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor, VDA, Bodyshop Estimator or Vehicle Estimator within an accident repair environment.
·ATA / IMI accreditation in Vehicle Damage Assessment or equivalent relevant industry experience.
·Strong knowledge of modern vehicle repair methods, construction and damage assessment.
·Proficiency with estimating systems such as Audatex / GT Global or similar.
·Strong IT and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
·Ability to accurately assess damage and produce commercially accurate repair estimates.
·Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with customers, insurers and workshop teams.
·Professional, organised and methodical approach to your work.
