Steel Stores Person
Location: Dudley
Salary: £13.00ph
Hours: 38 hours per week
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday - 8am to 4.15pm, Friday - 8am to 3.30pm
We are currently recruiting for a Steel Stores Person to join an established manufacturing business based in the Dudley area.
This is a hands-on stores role within a busy industrial environment, working with steel and other materials to support day-to-day production operations.
The Role:
As a Steel Stores Person, your responsibilities will include:
Receiving, checking and storing steel and other materials
Loading and unloading materials safely
Moving steel around the site using a forklift and overhead crane
Preparing materials for production
Keeping the stores and yard organised and tidy
Completing basic stock and stores records
Using a computer for basic stock and administrative tasks
Following company health and safety procedures
Supporting the wider production team when required
About You:
We are looking for someone who is reliable, practical and comfortable working in a busy industrial environment.
Essential requirements:
Valid forklift licence
Valid overhead crane licence
Previous experience working in a steel, manufacturing, engineering or industrial stores environment
Basic computer skills
Good attention to detail
Reliable and safety-conscious approach to work
Physically capable of working in a hands-on environment
Training will be provided for the company's systems and processes, so you don't need to be an expert computer user.
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:15pm
Friday: 8:00am – 3:30pm
38 hours per week
Hourly Rate: £13ph
