We are currently recruiting for an experienced Metal Finisher / Deburr Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment working on a permanent basis near Ashton Under Lyne.
Rate is c£13.70 - 14.20 PAYE Per hour plus 25 days' holiday and bank holidays, pension, company bonus, healthcare etc.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and finishing components to a high standard, working predominantly with thin-gauge aluminium.
Key Responsibilities for the Metal Finisher / Deburr Operative:

Manually remove lugs, burrs and sharp edges from metal components

Use a range of hand tools and finishing equipment, including files, orbital sanders and fly presses

Work from engineering drawings and follow written work instructions

Ensure all components are finished to a consistently high-quality standard

Maintain a safe and tidy working environment in line with 5S standards

Work accurately on close-tolerance components where attention to detail is essential
Experience Required for the Metal Finisher / Deburr Operative:

Previous experience in a deburring, metal finishing or similar manufacturing role

Experience manually removing burrs/lugs from metal components

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

Familiarity with hand tools, orbital sanders and fly presses

Good attention to detail and a quality-focused approach

Strong commitment to health and safety and 5S practices
