Medical Secretary - Healthcare Client
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Medical Secretary to join a busy team working across two sites for one of our healthcare clients.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous Medical Secretary experience who is organised, professional and confident working in a busy healthcare environment.
Role details:
Location: Flexible between two sites - SW15 & SW19
Salary: £12.71 per hour
Start date: ASAP
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
Contract: Minimum of 2 months, with potential for extension
Breaks: 1 x 30-minute unpaid break and 2 x 15-minute breaks
DBS: Enhanced DBS check required (Adult & Child Workforce)
Key responsibilities:
Providing medical secretarial and administrative support
Managing and coordinating patient appointments
Updating and maintaining accurate patient records and systems
Assisting with patient billing and related administration
Answering telephone and email enquiries
Liaising with patients, clinicians, colleagues and other departments
Supporting the wider medical administration team with day-to-day tasks
Ensuring all administrative duties are completed accurately and efficiently
Handling confidential patient information professionally and appropriately
The ideal candidate:
Has previous experience working as a Medical Secretary
Has experience within a healthcare, medical or clinical environment
Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
Is confident dealing with patients and healthcare professionals
Is comfortable using computer systems and medical administration systems
Can work effectively in a busy environment and manage competing priorities
Is professional, reliable and able to work well as part of a team
Is available to start ASAP
Has, or is able to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check
