TRANSPORT ADMINISTRATOR
Salary: £14.50 per hour
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Contract: Temporary, with the potential to become permanent
Location: Hull
Kingston Recruitment are currently looking to recruit a Transport Administrator / Transport & Fleet Coordinator to join a busy and established team on a temporary basis, with the potential for the position to become permanent depending on the individual and the development of the role.
Working as part of the transport function, you will provide effective administrative support across a small fleet of vehicles, helping to ensure vehicles are maintained, compliant and appropriately planned. The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience within a transport, fleet or logistics environment and be comfortable dealing with drivers and coordinating day-to-day transport requirements.
THE ROLE:
Managing vehicle maintenance schedules and associated filing/records
Completing and managing regular tachograph downloads
Assisting with vehicle and driver planning
Dealing with driver queries and day-to-day transport issues
Supporting the effective scheduling and management of the company fleet
Assisting with route planning and making adjustments where required
Liaising with drivers, suppliers and internal departments
Ensuring relevant transport records and documentation are kept up to date
Providing route planning cover during periods of holiday and sickness
Supporting the wider transport team with general administration
THE PERSON:
Previous experience in a transport, fleet, logistics or similar administrative role
Experience of vehicle maintenance scheduling and record keeping
Knowledge of tachograph downloads and associated processes
Good organisational and administrative skills
Confident communicating with drivers and colleagues
Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
Good attention to detail and a methodical approach
Previous experience of route planning would be advantageous
Comfortable working independently while also contributing to a wider team
