Looking for a Vehicle Damage Assessor role where your estimating expertise is properly recognised, with a consistent Monday-to-Friday working pattern? This Edinburgh opportunity is suited to an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor / VDA / Bodyshop Estimator with the technical knowledge and accuracy required to produce high-quality repair estimates.
You'll be assessing accident-damaged vehicles, preparing accurate repair estimates and supporting the efficient progression of vehicles through the Bodyshop, while working as part of a professional accident repair environment.

THE ROLE
As a Vehicle Damage Assessor / VDA / Bodyshop Estimator, you will be responsible for assessing accident-damaged vehicles and producing accurate repair estimates to ensure repairs are planned efficiently and completed to the required standard.
·Inspect damaged vehicles and accurately assess the extent of repair required.
·Produce detailed and accurate repair estimates using appropriate estimating systems.
·Identify required parts, labour operations, repair methods and associated costs.
·Ensure estimates are accurate and aligned with manufacturer and industry repair standards.
·Liaise with customers, insurers, engineers and Bodyshop colleagues throughout the repair process.
·Maintain accurate records and update repair information on relevant systems.
·Support the Bodyshop team in maintaining efficient vehicle workflow and agreed repair timescales.
·Ensure all damage assessments and estimates are completed accurately and professionally.
ABOUT YOU
This opportunity would suit an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor / VDA / Bodyshop Estimator / Vehicle Estimator with strong technical knowledge and excellent attention to detail.
·Previous experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor, VDA, Bodyshop Estimator or Vehicle Estimator within an accident repair environment.
·ATA / IMI accreditation in Vehicle Damage Assessment or equivalent relevant industry experience.
·Strong knowledge of modern vehicle repair methods, construction and damage assessment.
·Proficiency with estimating systems such as Audatex / GT Global or similar.
·Strong IT and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
·Ability to accurately assess damage and produce commercially accurate repair estimates.
·Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with customers, insurers and workshop teams.
