Vanta Staffing is recruiting Food Production Operatives to join a busy and growing fresh food manufacturing company in the Wimbledon / South West London area.
This is an ongoing Monday-to-Friday position offering regular work for reliable candidates. Immediate starts are available.
LOCAL CANDIDATES REQUIRED
Due to the location of this role and the need for reliable daily attendance, we are specifically looking for candidates living in South West London or surrounding areas with a reasonable commute to Wimbledon.
We would particularly welcome applications from candidates living in or around:
Wimbledon • Tooting • Colliers Wood • Mitcham • Morden • Sutton • Streatham • Balham • Clapham • Earlsfield • Wandsworth • Raynes Park • Southfields • Crystal Palace and surrounding areas.
Candidates from other nearby locations will also be considered, provided you can reliably travel to the workplace Monday to Friday.

The Role
You will work as part of a busy production team preparing and manufacturing fresh food products.
Your duties will include:
Preparing and handling fresh food ingredients
Weighing and measuring ingredients accurately
Portioning and shaping food products
Operating basic food production equipment and machinery
Packing and labelling finished products
Checking products for quality and consistency
Moving ingredients, products and materials around the production area
Keeping your work area clean and hygienic
Following strict food hygiene, quality and Health & Safety procedures
Working at a consistent pace to meet daily production requirements
Supporting different areas of production when required
Who Are We Looking For?
This role would suit someone who has previously worked within food production, food manufacturing, a bakery, commercial kitchen, catering, food preparation or a similar fast-paced environment.
Previous food production experience is an advantage; however, full training can be provided to reliable candidates with the right attitude and transferable experience.
You must be:
Reliable and punctual
Hard-working with a good work ethic
Comfortable working in a busy, hands-on environment
Physically fit and happy being on your feet for extended periods
Comfortable carrying out repetitive production tasks
Able to follow instructions and procedures accurately
Able to work well as part of a team
Conscious of food hygiene, cleanliness and Health & Safety
Able to maintain a good working pace throughout your shift
Able to travel reliably to Wimbledon / South West London every day
Reliability is extremely important. We are looking for people who genuinely want regular, ongoing work.
