Customer Service Advisor
Location: Christchurch, Dorset
Position: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday – Friday (Shifts between 8:00am – 6:15pm), plus 1 in 6 Saturdays (with a day off in lieu during the week)
Salary: £27,000 – £28,000 per annum
About the Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist financial services provider based in central Christchurch. In this role, you will act as a reassuring point of contact for customers navigating complex or sensitive policy enquiries. Balancing empathy with attention to detail, you will guide customers through internal processes, evaluate policy terms, and deliver fair, prompt resolutions.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Support & Guidance: Serve as a compassionate first point of contact, guiding policyholders step-by-step through their case enquiries.

Policy Evaluation & Resolution: Review customer documentation against policy terms and conditions, making prompt, fair assessment decisions and explaining outcomes clearly.

Information Verification: Ensure accurate data cross-referencing and coordinate with external partners or underwriting teams where appropriate.

Query & Dispute Management: Handle customer questions and case disputes constructively, aiming for positive, professional outcomes.

Administration & Compliance: Maintain accurate digital records, prioritise daily caseloads, and ensure full adherence to regulatory standards.

Key Attributes & Experience:

Customer-Facing Experience: Background in customer service, contact centre environments, telephony support, or retail administration is desirable.

Problem-Solving Ability: A practical, proactive approach to evaluating information and resolving customer enquiries efficiently.
