A rapidly expanding manufacturing company, supplying into the construction sector and based in Creeting St Peter, Ipswich, are currently recruiting for an Estimator to join their team.
This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break. Salary is £30,000 per annum.
Your key duties in this Estimator role will include but are not limited to:
Preparing quotations and pricing projects from technical drawings
Managing the full sales cycle, from initial enquiry through to completion
Sourcing costs from existing and new suppliers and supporting procurement
Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential customers
Developing new business opportunities and maintaining commercial awareness
Dealing with customer enquiries via telephone, email and in person
Attending client meetings, site visits, trade shows and CPD eventsSkills and Experience required to be considered for this role:
Previous experience in an estimating, sales or commercially focused role
Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate quotations
Commercially aware with a proactive approach to business development
