💷 Pay Rate: £23.05 per hour PAYE
🕒 Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
📅 Contract: 3 Months Initially (Possible Extension)

A Local Authority based in Ealing are seeking a Building Safety Levy Implementation Officer to lead the introduction of a new statutory Building Safety Levy function and ensure the Council is fully prepared for successful implementation.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a high-profile project, working across multiple departments to establish robust systems, processes, and governance arrangements that will support the effective administration of the Building Safety Levy.
The Role
As the Building Safety Levy Implementation Officer, you will:
Lead the implementation of the Building Safety Levy across the Council, ensuring readiness for statutory commencement.
Design and document end-to-end processes covering assessment, billing, collection, enforcement, and reporting.
Develop procedures, guidance, templates, and operational frameworks to support levy administration.
Work closely with Finance, Building Control, Planning, ICT, Legal Services, and external stakeholders.
Establish financial processes including invoicing, payment tracking, reconciliation, and reporting.
Manage implementation risks and support the transition into business-as-usual operations.What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
✅ Experience of process design, service implementation, or project delivery, ideally within a local authority or public sector environment.
✅ Knowledge of financial processes including invoicing, reconciliation, and reporting.
✅ Understanding of planning, building control, regulatory services, or similar operational environments.
✅ Experience developing procedures, guidance documents, or operational frameworks.
✅ Strong stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
✅ Experience working across multiple teams to deliver service improvements or system change.
