Location: NMHT Adult Mental Health – Worcester City, WR5 3UF
Hours: part time, 22.5 hours per week, Wednesday – Friday, 9:00 – 17:00
Pay and duration: £12.71 per hour, 3 months with possible extension

We're looking for a Receptionist to join our team at NMHT Adult Mental Health in Worcester City. You'll be the first point of contact for patients, visitors and colleagues, helping to create a welcoming, professional and supportive environment.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in reception, customer service, administration or another people-facing role who would like to develop their experience within a healthcare setting.
What you'll be doing
As a Receptionist, you'll help ensure the reception area runs smoothly and that patients and visitors receive a friendly and professional service.
Your responsibilities will include:

Welcoming patients, visitors and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner.

Providing a helpful and approachable first point of contact.

Answering and directing telephone calls and enquiries.

Directing patients and visitors to the appropriate areas or members of staff.

Providing general administrative and reception support.

Handling information sensitively and maintaining confidentiality.

Supporting the team with day-to-day tasks to help the service run efficiently.

Reporting any issues or concerns to the appropriate member of staff.

Working closely with colleagues to provide a positive experience for patients and visitors.
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who is professional, approachable and confident communicating with a wide range of people.
You'll need:

Previous experience in reception, customer service, administration or a similar people-facing role.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A friendly, calm and professional manner.

Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

The ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and discretion.

Confidence speaking with patients, visitors and colleagues.

The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

A reliable and flexible approach to work.
Previous healthcare or NHS experience would be beneficial, but strong transferable experience from customer service, hospitality, retail, reception or administration will also be considered.
You'll also need either a vocational Level 3 qualification or at least 2 years' relevant experience.
