Pay: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

Document controller - Construction

Location: Rugby, Warwickshire

Duration: Permanent

Start Date: ASAP

One of our established construction contractors are currently looking for a document controller to join their team based in Rugdby.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the document control process across multiple construction projects.
Receive, register, distribute and archive project documentation.
Maintain document registers, revision histories and drawing registers.
Ensure the correct and current versions of drawings, specifications and technical documents are available to project teams.
Upload and distribute documents through project management and document control systems.
Monitor document revisions and ensure superseded information is appropriately controlled.
Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, consultants and clients regarding document submissions and approvals.
Track the status of drawings, RFIs, technical submissions and other project information.
Maintain accurate electronic and hard-copy filing systems.
Assist with the preparation and collation of project handover and O&M documentation.
Ensure project records are maintained in accordance with company procedures and client requirements.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Previous experience working as a Document Controller, preferably within construction, engineering or a related industry.
Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
Experience managing a high volume of documentation and project information.
The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with project teams, subcontractors, consultants and clients.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
An understanding of construction drawings, revisions and document numbering systems.
Experience with document management platforms such as Viewpoint, Asite, Procore, Aconex or Autodesk Construction Cloud would be advantageous.
