Position: Van Driver / Warehouse Operative
Location: Stockport
Salary: £32,500 per annum
Job Type: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm
The Opportunity
HRGO Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for a van driver / warehouse operative to join their busy Stockport branch. This is a varied, hands-on role combining customer deliveries with warehouse responsibilities in a fast-paced branch environment.
Key Responsibilities
Safely drive a long wheelbase (LWB) Mercedes Sprinter or similar vehicle to deliver electrical products to customers.
Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
Load and unload deliveries safely and efficiently.
Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately.
Receive, check and put away incoming stock.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
Support colleagues with general warehouse and branch duties as required.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
Holds a full UK driving licence.
Has previous commercial experience driving a long-wheelbase Mercedes Sprinter (or similar).
Has warehouse or store experience.
Is physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
Has excellent time management and organisational skills.
Is reliable, hard-working and enjoys working as part of a team.
Takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service.
