Assistant Caretaker - Hemel Hempstead
Permanent | Full-Time | £27,000-£29,000 per annum
A well-established secondary school in Hemel Hempstead is looking for a reliable and practical Assistant Caretaker to join its premises team.
The successful candidate will help maintain a safe, secure and well-presented school environment, carrying out general maintenance, minor repairs and routine site checks.
Key Responsibilities
General caretaking, maintenance and minor repairs.
Regular checks of buildings, grounds and facilities.
Supporting the opening and securing of the school site.
Assisting contractors, deliveries and visitors.
Supporting health and safety across the site.
Helping with room and site preparation for events and activities.
Reporting and responding to maintenance and security issues.About You
We are looking for someone who is reliable, practical, proactive and hardworking, with good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Previous experience in caretaking, maintenance, facilities or a similar role is desirable, but practical experience and the right attitude are equally important.
