Are you an active, sporty individual looking to make a real difference to a child's school life? We are working with a primary school in South Bristol who are looking for a dedicated 1-1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil throughout the school day. The school feels an active, sporty personality would work really well with this particular child.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for sport and physical activity who wants to help a child build confidence, focus and positive learning behaviours.
The Role:
Providing dedicated 1-1 support to a pupil throughout the school day
Supporting the child to access classroom learning and stay engaged with activities
Helping with transitions, daily routines and tasks throughout the school day
Encouraging independence, confidence and positive learning behaviours
Supporting social skills, communication and emotional regulation
Working closely with the class teacher to track progress
Bringing an active, energetic approach that connects well with the child
We Are Looking For:
Experience working with children in a school setting (essential)
A sports coaching background or genuinely sporty, active personality would be a great asset
A calm, patient and reassuring manner
Strong communication and relationship building skills
Ability to motivate and encourage children of all abilities
Reliability, professionalism and a commitment to safeguarding
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
