Ecologist - Birmingham
An established environmental consultancy is looking to appoint an Ecologist to join its team in Birmingham. The role would suit an ecologist with experience in ecological surveys, assessments and reporting who is looking for a varied position with opportunities to develop their technical and project management skills. The successful candidate will work across a range of projects, undertaking field surveys, preparing ecological reports and providing practical advice to clients and project teams. The role will involve working across the Midlands, with opportunities to contribute to a varied portfolio of development and environmental projects.
Key responsibilities;
Undertaking ecological and protected species surveys
Preparing ecological reports, assessments and mitigation strategies
Supporting ecological impact assessments and planning applications
Providing ecological advice to clients, contractors and project teams
Assisting with habitat creation, enhancement and mitigation schemes
Supporting project delivery and managing fieldwork
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider environmental team
