Duties:
- Assess vehicle damage accurately to determine repair requirements and provide cost estimates
- Dismantle vehicles efficiently, including removal of panels, bumpers, lights, and trims
- Repair or replace damaged panels using appropriate hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques
- Straighten and realign vehicle frames and chassis using hydraulic equipment and measuring systems
- Conduct welding and metalwork to restore vehicle structural integrity
- Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, filling, and priming, with participation in final paintwork
- Reassemble vehicles and perform quality inspections to ensure safety standards are met
- Liaise with customers to update on repair progress and manage expectations
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment as the Panel Beater
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Panel Beater in a bodyshop environment
- Knowledge of different repair techniques including welding, panel straightening, and surface finishing
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and within tight deadlines
- Own tools are preferable but not essential, as the workshop provides all necessary equipment
