Opportunity: Residential Property Lawyer / Conveyancer
Location: Exeter | Hybrid
Salary: Up to £60,000 + Bonus
Thinking about your next move in residential property? This could be it!
We're working with a highly regarded South West law firm that's looking to strengthen its residential property team in Exeter with a 1-5 year PQE Lawyer / Conveyancer (NQs with good experience are encouraged to apply!).
It's a great opportunity for someone who wants true ownership of their caseload without being left to fend for themselves. You'll have the chance to work on a varied mix of residential property matters, build strong client relationships and continue developing your career with an established team that genuinely invests in its people.
What Makes This Role Interesting?
This isn't a role where you're simply processing transactions from A to B.
You'll have the opportunity to build your own caseload and client relationships, working on a good variety of residential property matters including:
Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
Investor and buy-to-let transactions
Transfers of equity
Remortgages
A range of other residential property work
The team takes a really personal approach to conveyancing, combining strong client relationships with great processes and technology. A significant amount of work comes through recommendations from existing clients, which says a lot about the relationships the team has built over the years.
You'll also be joining an established team so there will be plenty of experience around you, but equally the autonomy to run your own caseload and continue developing your career.
The Firm:
This is a long-established regional firm with an excellent reputation across the South West, offering a broad range of legal services to both individuals and businesses.
The firm is recognised in both Legal 500 and Chambers UK across a number of practice areas and has a particularly strong reputation for client service.
It's truly a people-focused business too. There's a clear emphasis on investing in its teams, supporting professional development and creating an environment where people are encouraged to progress rather than simply being expected to get through their caseload.
What You Will Get:
Good bonus schemes
Hybrid and flexible working
25 days annual leave + bank holidays, with the option to buy/sell up to 5 days
Private medical healthcare
Generous pension
Enhanced maternity and paternity leave
Two paid volunteering days each year
Cycle to Work scheme and season ticket loans
Regular social events
Reduced-cost legal services
Strong focus on training, development and progression
They're looking for someone who is confident running their own caseload, enjoys working directly with clients and wants to continue developing their career within a supportive and established property team.
And if you're happy where you are but curious about what else is out there, I would be very happy to have a confidential chat! You don't need to be actively job hunting to explore whether this could be a better fit for you.
