We are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner to join our client in Swadlincote.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is organised, confident communicating with drivers and customers, and able to keep things running smoothly in a busy logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning and coordinating daily transport schedules
Allocating drivers and vehicles to deliveries and collections
Monitoring deliveries and responding to any delays or changes
Communicating with drivers throughout the shift
Liaising with customers regarding delivery times and updates
Updating transport systems and maintaining accurate records
Dealing with transport queries and resolving day-to-day issues
Supporting the wider transport team to ensure an efficient operation
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience in transport, logistics or planning would be beneficial
Strong organisational and communication skills
Confident using computers and transport/administration systems
Able to work under pressure and prioritise a busy workload
Good attention to detail
A reliable and proactive approach to work
