Part-Time Accounts Assistant - 4 Days per Week
Central London | Predominantly Office Based | £17-£20 per hour PAYE | Temporary/Contract
We are working with an established international live music agency representing contemporary artists Based in Central London, they are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to provide hands-on support to their finance team on a part-time basis.
A significant part of the role will focus on reconciliations, historic transactions and finance clean-up work. You will be working through historic financial transactions and outstanding items that have accumulated over a number of years, including following a period of business change and acquisition activity.
Key responsibilities
Review and reconcile historic financial transactions and outstanding balances
Investigate discrepancies and resolve unreconciled or aged items
Work through legacy transactions and help clear historic finance backlogs
Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Reconcile supplier and customer accounts and investigate differences
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
Process and review invoices, payments, receipts and credit notes
Allocate cash and ensure transactions are accurately recorded
Assist with month-end processes, including reconciliations and journals
Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
Investigate queries relating to payments, invoices and account balances
Liaise with colleagues to obtain information needed to resolve historic items
Use Excel to analyse, manipulate and reconcile financial data
Identify errors, duplicate transactions and inconsistencies within financial records
Provide general support to the wider finance team
About you
You will ideally have previous experience as an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or similar, with strong reconciliation and transactional accounting experience.
You should enjoy getting into the detail and be comfortable working independently through historic information, investigating discrepancies and seeing issues through to resolution.
Intermediate Excel skills are essential, including formulas, lookups, filters, sorting and working with larger data sets.
The role is expected to be 4 days per week, with 3-4 days working from the Central London office.
