Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accounts Administrator to join their dynamic team in Welham Green. As a Junior Accounts Administrator, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the accounts department. The position involves a variety of administrative tasks, making it ideal for someone who is organised, proactive, and eager to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify supplier invoices against orders for accuracy.
Enter supplier invoices into the Sage Accounts system and maintain relevant spreadsheets.
Prepare customer invoices by pricing up and adding works.
Process card terminal payments and handle associated administration tasks.
Manage credit control, including chasing payments from clients.
Record payment receipts in the accounts system.
Process and contest parking and other traffic charges.
Respond to general delivery queries and assist in booking deliveries.
Conduct general scanning and filing within the office.
Ensure delivery trackers are updated and assist in booking staff training.
Monitor customers incurring storage fees and charge accordingly.
Close out delivered and invoiced goods in the client database.
Assist with client account emails during busy periods.
Proactively follow up with retail clients to schedule deliveries.Skills and Qualifications:
Excellent written English skills, with proficiency in composing emails and typing.
Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
Familiarity with Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential; training on SAGE Accounts will be provided.
A good telephone manner for effective client communication.
Previous experience in accounts administration or as a personal assistant is advantageous but not essential.Additional Requirements:
This role is office-based and not suitable for remote work due to the nature of the tasks.
Standard working hours are approximately 8 AM to 5 PM or 9 AM to 6 PM, Monday to Friday, including a paid 30-minute lunch break.
Occasional Saturday shifts may be required on a rota basis during busy periods.
Full-time commitment is essential, with an initial training period provided.
