Driver Hire Uxbridge are currently recruiting for Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) for our customers in the UB postcode area (Uxbridge/Hayes/Greenford/West Drayton etc)
ALL ROLES ARE ON A TEMPORARY ADHOC BASIS - SHIFTS ARE NOT GUARANTEED
£17.51 to £20.50 per hour PAYE (incl. Holiday Pay)
Guaranteed 8 hours pay a day
Overtime after 9+ hours (breaks are not paid)
All-round Duties:

A to B drops, Multi drop deliveries in and around M25 (up to 10 drops) Builders merchants and Scaffolding, Movies/TV, events and catering and Alcohol (optional)

As a Class 2 Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism

Complete deliveries correctly and efficiently, in a professional and timely manner

Secure load onto vehicle for transit (ratchet straps/strapping)

Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues

Conduct inspections of the vehicle prior to leaving depot, including checking tyres, brakes, lights, and other essential systems

Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption

Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
Requirements:

Valid UK CAT C manual licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points (no DR DD TT IN or MS90 endorsements)

Valid CPC and TACHO

Age 25years+ for insurance purposes

Minimum 1 year HGV Class 2 driving experience (references required)

Physically fit, as some jobs require lifting and shifting

Excellent verbal and written English skills to interact with customers and team members

Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards
