OA are recruiting for a Business Development Executive to join our client’s growing team.
Our client is a successful and growing organisation providing technology-enabled subscription, customer experience and BPO solutions across the media, publishing, membership and not-for-profit sectors.
They are looking to recruit a Business Development Executive to identify new opportunities, build strong client relationships and develop a robust sales pipeline.
Working closely with the Director of Business Development, this role will suit a commercially driven sales professional who enjoys opening doors, engaging with decision-makers and converting opportunities into new business.
Location: Hatfield
Hours: Monday to Friday. 8:30am-5pm. Hybrid - 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home
Salary: £35,000-£40,000 + commission

Business Development Executive Key Responsibilities
Research target markets, generate leads and identify new business opportunities
Qualify prospects and build a strong pipeline of sales opportunities
Engage with decision-makers to understand their needs and identify suitable solutions
Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients
Support proposals, presentations and commercial negotiations through to conversion
Represent the business at relevant industry events and networking opportunities
Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline reporting and sales forecasts
Consistently achieve agreed activity and revenue targets
Business Development Executive Skills & Experience
Proven experience in business development, lead generation or B2B sales
Experience within technology, SaaS, outsourcing or complex solution sales
Strong understanding of consultative or solution-based selling
Proven ability to build and manage a sales pipeline
Confident communicating with decision-makers and developing commercial relationships
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
CRM experience, ideally MS Dynamics
Highly driven, target-focused and self-motivated
Proactive, resilient and solution-focused approach
Able to manage multiple opportunities and priorities
Collaborative approach with the ability to work across different teams
Experience within the subscription, media, publishing, membership or not-for-profit sectors (desirable)
Experience selling complex or multi-service solutions (desirable)
Relevant sales or business development training or qualifications (desirable)
