The role…
We are looking for an Analyst to join our Energy Transition team.
As an analyst, you will contribute to an ongoing publication of market intelligence reports across key technologies, geographies, and trends. In this role, analysts are expected to use and manipulate data, as well as critical thinking skills, to create industry-leading analyst opinions. Additionally, as an analyst, you will have the opportunity to manage projects, contribute to product development, peer-review the work delivered by junior team members, and support sales teams in client conversations.
This role will focus on Energy Transition, which includes technologies such as low-carbon hydrogen, CCUS, renewables, critical minerals, batteries, biofuels, and decarbonizing heavy industry as a broader theme.
What you’ll be doing…
Producing content that is well written, concise, and delivered on time. The main formats used include PowerPoint and Word.
Manipulating large datasets to draw insights and provide a unique understanding of the market.
Manage projects run by the team, which can vary from owning a reports series to primary research design.
Conducting ongoing secondary research and reading to build your awareness of industry issues.
Respond to queries both from clients and commercial teams and assist with client meetings.
Provide analyst support to existing accounts to ensure clients are receiving maximum value from their subscription.
Speaking at webinars and conferences.
What we’re looking for…
Have at least 1 year of professional experience either within an energy research/insight role, or in the energy services industry.
Demonstrate an interest in Energy Transition technologies and an understanding of the trends affecting the industry.
Be able to articulate a view clearly and with authority, both verbally and in writing.
Be able to “connect the dots” to create a story that delivers the “so what” to the audience
Have excellent data manipulation and visualization skills in Excel – experience in forecasting and modelling are a plus.
Experience conducting both quantitative and qualitative research.
Possess outstanding writing skills and attention to detail, being able to deliver work that is well-written and thoroughly proofread before submission, in order to be published for clients to view with only a minor peer review.
