Wraparound Care Assistant
Location: Southwark, London
Salary: £14.24 - £15 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
Contract: Part-time, temporary; session times to be agreed
Start date: 05/10/2026
Hours: Term time - 8:30 - 3:30 - school day
Help children start and finish their school day feeling settled, included and ready for what comes next. Transparency Education is recruiting two Wraparound Care Assistants for breakfast club and after-school club opportunities in Southwark.
You will supervise play, organise activities and help with practical club routines. Sessions take place outside the main school day; the available morning and afternoon hours will be discussed before placement.
Responsibilities
• Welcome children and support a positive start or end to their day
• Organise age-appropriate games, crafts and indoor or outdoor play
• Supervise snacks and follow allergy and hygiene procedures
• Keep accurate registers and follow safe collection arrangements
• Encourage cooperation and help children resolve minor disagreements
• Set up resources and leave shared spaces tidy and safe
Requirements
• Experience working with children in childcare, education, playwork or a similar setting
• A friendly, reliable approach and confidence supervising groups
• Availability for agreed breakfast and/or after-school sessions
• An understanding of safeguarding; childcare or paediatric first-aid training is beneficial
• An enhanced DBS check, or willingness to complete one.
