Hours: 37 hours per week
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am to 4:30pm
Friday: 8:00am to 1:00pm

The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Engineering Quality Inspector to join a growing precision engineering manufacturer.
Working within a high-quality manufacturing environment, you will take ownership of quality control activities from incoming goods inspection through to final inspection, ensuring products consistently meet customer and industry standards.
This is a hands-on role that would suit an individual with a strong engineering background, excellent inspection skills, and experience working within an ISO 9001 environment.
Key Responsibilities

Inspect and approve incoming materials and subcontract returns.

Carry out in-process inspection and validate first-off measurements.

Maintain, calibrate and control measuring instruments and inspection equipment.

Record and document inspection results using internal quality systems.

Raise, investigate and manage NCRs, implementing corrective and preventative actions.

Produce and present quality KPI reports.

Liaise with customers and suppliers regarding quality matters.

Support internal and supplier audits where required.

Assist in maintaining and developing ISO 9001 quality standards.

Promote continuous improvement throughout the business.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

Previous experience in a Quality Inspector position within a manufacturing or precision engineering environment.

A mechanical engineering background.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Experience using a wide range of measuring and inspection equipment.

Experience operating programmable CMM equipment.

Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.

Experience dealing with NCRs, root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

A proactive, continuous improvement mindset.
