Full Stack Developer - Python / JavaScript / Typescript (Contract)
Location: London - Hybrid, 2 days/week on-site
Contract: Initial 6 months (view to extend)
Rate: £650–£750 per day
Overview
A global retail business is looking for a Full Stack Python Developer to join their technology team on an initial 6-month contract. This is a hands-on role building and maintaining customer-facing and internal platforms, working across the full stack with a Python-based backend. The role is hybrid, with 2 days per week required on-site at the client's London office.
Responsibilities
Design, build and maintain full stack web applications with a Python backend
Develop and consume RESTful APIs
Work across both backend services and frontend interfaces
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA and other engineers
Write clean, tested, maintainable code and participate in code review
Contribute to architecture and technical decision-making within the team
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the stack in a production environment
Skills & Experience
Strong commercial experience as a Full Stack Developer with Python (Django or Flask)
Experience with JavaScript and Typescript
Solid frontend experience (React, Vue or similar JS framework)
Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and API design
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and CI/CD pipelines
Comfortable working in an agile environment
Experience in retail, e-commerce or high-traffic consumer platforms is advantageous
Must be able to work on-site in London 2 days per week

Rate: £650–£750 per day (Inside IR35)
