Caddy Group are looking for an experienced Buyer for our growing Constrcution client in Kent.

Support the procurement team with the purchasing of materials, equipment and services across projects.

Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and value.

Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures.

Liaise with suppliers to negotiate pricing, lead times and delivery schedules.

Monitor orders from placement through to delivery, resolving any issues or delays promptly.

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal project teams.

Maintain accurate procurement records, ensuring all purchasing documentation is up to date.

Assist with material management and ensure procurement activities align with project requirements and programme dates.
What We’re Looking For:

An excellent communicator with the ability to build strong and trusting relationships.

Previous experience within a buying, procurement or purchasing environment.

Experience within the construction, mechanical and electrical trades would be advantageous.

Strong negotiation and commercial awareness skills.

Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.

Forward-thinking and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

4+ years' experience in a buying or procurement role.

Competent user of standard programmes including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Good organisational and planning skills.

Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities effectively.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
