Do you want a Health and Safety role where you can genuinely influence how major infrastructure projects are planned and delivered?
Principal People are working with a leading Tier 1 infrastructure contractor to recruit a Health and Safety Advisor supporting a major framework across Kent and Sussex.
With a significant pipeline of secured work across projects of varying scale, including major schemes valued at £70m+, this is an opportunity to join an established H&S team and work closely with operational teams throughout the project lifecycle, from planning and pre-construction through to delivery.
They are looking for someone with strong Tier 1 construction or infrastructure experience who can take a practical, forward-thinking approach and bring a wider project understanding rather than focusing purely on compliance.

What you will be doing:
Providing practical HS&E support across projects throughout Kent and Sussex.
Working closely with operational teams to identify risk and improve performance.
Supporting projects through planning, pre-construction, mobilisation and delivery.
Conducting site inspections, audits and HS&E reviews.
Reviewing RAMS, Construction Phase Plans and project documentation.
Supporting incident investigations and continuous improvement.
Building strong relationships with operational teams, clients and supply-chain partners.
What they are looking for:
NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate, or equivalent.
Experience within a Tier 1 contractor environment is strongly preferred.
Background within construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities, highways or similar.
The role will predominantly cover projects across Kent and parts of Sussex, with four days typically spent on site and one day working from home.
