SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Salford

Hours: Initially 2.5 days per week, increasing to 5 days

Cover People are looking for a patient, caring and dependable SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated one-to-one support for a pupil at a welcoming primary school in Salford.
The position will initially be for two and a half days per week, before increasing to a full-time, five-day role within the next few weeks.
This is a fantastic opportunity to build a consistent relationship with a child and make a genuine difference to their confidence, learning and overall school experience.
✨ What Will You Be Doing?
Providing dedicated one-to-one support
Helping the pupil access classroom learning
Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
Adapting activities to meet individual needs
Encouraging confidence, independence and engagement
Working alongside the class teacher, SENCO and support team
Following individual support plans and recording progress
We’re Looking for Someone Who Is:
Calm, patient and compassionate
Confident supporting children with additional needs
Experienced within SEND or a primary-school environment
Able to establish positive routines and clear boundaries
Reliable and able to progress from 2.5 to 5 days per week
Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
Ready to begin as soon as possible
