Junior Packaging Inspector

We're currently recruiting for a Junior Packaging Inspector to join the a busy team in Folkestone.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within quality, packaging or manufacturing. You'll be responsible for inspecting incoming packaging and component materials, checking that they meet the required specifications and ensuring any issues are identified and reported correctly.
Key Responsibilities
Inspecting incoming packaging and component materials to ensure they meet approved specifications.
Carrying out checks and sampling on incoming goods in line with agreed standards.
Recording inspection results accurately and identifying any quality issues.
Supporting decisions on whether materials can be accepted or need to be rejected.
Reporting any non-conformities and escalating issues where appropriate.
Releasing approved packaging and components on SAP following inspection.
Labelling rejected pallets in collaboration with the Warehouse team.
Supporting the Warehouse team with quality-related queries at goods-in.
Maintaining accurate specification and quality documentation.
Keeping packaging reference samples and artwork files up to date.
Following approved test methods, procedures and work instructions.
Working with the wider Quality team to support continuous improvement.About You
We're looking for someone who has a good eye for detail and takes pride in doing things accurately.
Ideally, you'll have:
Previous experience in a quality, inspection, manufacturing, warehouse or similar environment would be advantageous.
Good computer skills; SAP experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
Good communication skills and the confidence to ask questions when needed.
The ability to follow detailed procedures and specifications accurately.
A reliable and organised approach.
The ability to work independently while also being part of a wider team.Monday to Friday, 39hrs a week, early finish on a Friday!
