School Administrator / Receptionist
Location: Central London
Pay: £14.25 – £18.00 per hour, depending on experience

Horizon Teachers are currently recruiting for an experienced School Administrator / Receptionist to join a well-established and welcoming prep school based in Central London.
This is a busy and varied position within the heart of the school office. The successful candidate will provide professional front-of-house support while assisting with attendance, pupil records, general administration and the day-to-day running of the school. You will be working closely with pupils, parents, teaching staff and the wider administrative team.
The school is exceptionally well connected by public transport and easily accessible from across London.
Key Responsibilities
Acting as the first point of contact for parents, pupils, visitors and staff
Managing incoming telephone calls, emails and general enquiries
Maintaining pupil records, registers and attendance information using SIMS or Arbor
Signing pupils and visitors in and out and maintaining accurate visitor records
Supporting school communications, correspondence, events and general office administration
Providing administrative support to teaching staff and the wider school office team
Assisting with pupil welfare and basic first aid duties where requiredRequirements
Previous administration or reception experience within a school environment is essential
Strong working knowledge of SIMS and/or Arbor is essential
Excellent communication, IT and organisational skills
Professional and confident when dealing with parents, pupils and visitors
Able to prioritise effectively and work confidently within a busy school office
