Town Planner

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Town Planner to join a growing planning consultancy based in central Manchester.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious planner to join a growing team, working on large-scale residential projects for high-profile clients, including major strategic land firms and housebuilders.
The successful candidate will be an experienced Town Planner with a strong understanding of the planning system and a genuine interest in delivering successful development projects.
You will ideally have:
An RTPI accredited BSc/MSc, or equivalent qualification, in Planning or a related discipline such as Environmental Planning or Surveying
Chartered status with the RTPI, or be close to achieving chartership
Demonstrable planning experience, ideally within consultancy or a client-facing environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Within the role you will:
Prepare and submit planning applications on behalf of clients
Draft planning statements and supporting planning documents
Gather evidence and assist with the submission of appeals
Assist with public inquiries
Undertake research on local, regional and national planning policy
Liaise with clients, local councils and stakeholders
Deliver planning advice and support throughout the development process
