This is a flexible part-time role of up to two days per week, offering the opportunity to work within a progressive farming enterprise and contribute to the smooth running of a diverse business portfolio.
The position encompasses administration across four businesses, comprising the main farming operation and three subsidiary businesses.
Whilst bookkeeping forms a key part of the role, it is also an opportunity to become involved in wider farm and estate administration.
The role:
Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records for all four businesses
Preparing and submitting monthly VAT returns
Processing purchase and sales invoices
Reconciling bank accounts and maintaining financial records
Assisting the accountant with year-end information and reporting requirements
Maintaining crop and farm records
Supporting general estate and business administration
Assisting with payroll administration (experience advantageous but not essential)
Providing administrative support as required across the businesses
You:
Bookkeeping qualified or has proven experience
Confident and experienced in bookkeeping and financial administration
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Able to work independently and manage their own workload
Professional, reliable and discreet when handling confidential information
Comfortable working across a variety of business activities and responsibilities
Experience with farming-specific bookkeeping systems and agricultural administration would be advantageous but is not essential.
A comprehensive handover and training will be provided to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
