We are currently recruiting for a Document Controller to join a well-established and growing business within the construction industry.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised, detail-focused and proactive individual who is looking for a stable, long-term position where they can take ownership of document control and play an important role in the successful delivery of projects.
The position will involve managing and maintaining the flow of project documentation, ensuring information is accurate, up to date and compliant with both client and internal standards.
The Role
As the Document Controller, you will work closely with the wider project and office teams, taking responsibility for the organisation and control of important project documentation.
Responsibilities will include:
Managing client document control systems
Ensuring document updates and revisions are communicated to the relevant teams
Maintaining accurate version control across project documentation
Collating and compiling Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals
Gathering information from suppliers and subcontractors
Ensuring documents are correctly filed, maintained and easily retrievable
Supporting multiple projects and working to deadlines
Liaising with colleagues, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
Providing additional office and administrative support when required
Maintaining high standards of accuracy, organisation and communicationThe position will involve working with document management platforms including 4Projects, Aconex, Asite and SharePoint.
The Successful Candidate
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, professional and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
You will ideally have:
Previous experience within document control, project administration or a similar role
Experience using document management systems
Experience with 4Projects, Aconex, Asite and/or SharePoint
Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent attention to detail
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Confident written and verbal communication
The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
A professional and customer-focused approach
An interest in developing your knowledge of the construction industryExperience within construction, engineering, roofing, cladding or a project-based environment would be particularly beneficial.
Due to the nature of some projects, the successful candidate will also be required to meet Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) requirements, including identity verification, employment history, criminal record and UK right-to-work checks.
Hours & Benefits
Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 5:00pm, with a 1-hour lunch
Friday: 8:30am - 4:00pm, with a 1-hour lunch
Holiday: 26 days + Bank Holidays
Pension: Company pension scheme
