A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join a prestigious manufacturing business within their busy Estimating team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is ambitious, hardworking and eager to develop a long-term career across Supply Chain, Buying, Sourcing or Procurement.
You don't necessarily need extensive previous experience. The client is open to recent graduates from a range of backgrounds, particularly those with knowledge of Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or other commercially focused subjects. What really matters is your attitude, willingness to learn, ability to use your initiative and desire to succeed.
What will you be doing as a Supply Chain Coordinator?
Supporting the Estimating and buying process to meet customer requirements
Liaising with suppliers and the Sales team to obtain competitive pricing
Negotiating supplier costs and fixed-price periods
Reviewing pricing and margins to ensure products remain commercially competitive
Building and maintaining strong supplier and internal relationships
Identifying opportunities to deliver cost savings
Supporting product sourcing and purchasing activity
Developing processes and systems to calculate costs and margins
Maintaining accurate product, pricing and supplier information
Producing and updating product review schedules
Working closely with the Estimating and Sales teams to meet customer requirements
Managing your own workload and prioritising tasks to meet deadlines
Supporting continuous improvement across buying and supply chain processes
Learning and developing your knowledge of commercial, buying and supply chain processes

Looking to build a career in Supply Chain, Buying, Procurement, Sourcing or a commercial environment
Whether you have knowledge of Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Economics or a similar subject, or are a recent graduate looking to start your career, we'd LOVE to hear from you
Previous experience in Buying, Purchasing, Procurement, Sourcing or Estimating would be advantageous but is not essential
Experience dealing with or negotiating with suppliers would be beneficial
Commercially minded with an interest in how businesses operate
Ambitious, hardworking and driven
Keen to learn, develop and build a long-term career
Confident using your own initiative and not afraid to ask questions
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Excellent organisation and attention to detail
Comfortable working to tight deadlines and managing your own workload
Confident using IT and learning new systems
A positive, forward-thinking attitude with the determination to succeed
Similar roles could include: Junior Buyer, Assistant Buyer, Purchasing Assistant, Procurement Assistant, Supply Chain Assistant, Sourcing Assistant, Procurement Coordinator or Estimating Assistant.

Salary up to £30,000 DOE
Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm
