THE ROLE
As a Paint Sprayer / Paint Technician, you'll be responsible for preparing and refinishing accident-damaged vehicles, ensuring all paintwork is completed efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
·Preparing vehicle surfaces for refinishing, including sanding, filling, masking, and priming.
·Mixing and applying paint using appropriate spray equipment and refinishing techniques.
·Carrying out colour matching, blending, and paint application to achieve a high-quality finish.
·Inspecting completed paintwork and rectifying imperfections where required.
·Working closely with Panel Beaters and other Bodyshop technicians to maintain an efficient repair process.
·Completing allocated repairs within agreed timescales while maintaining excellent workmanship.
·Following relevant health and safety procedures when handling paints, solvents, and workshop equipment.
·Maintaining spray equipment, tools, and the working area in a clean and professional condition.
ABOUT YOU
This opportunity would suit an experienced Paint Sprayer / Paint Technician / Paint Refinisher / Vehicle Painter who takes pride in producing high-quality finishes.
You'll ideally have:
·Previous experience as a Paint Sprayer or Paint Technician within a professional Bodyshop or accident repair environment.
·Recognised qualification in Vehicle Refinishing (NVQ / IMI / City & Guilds / ATA or equivalent), with a commitment to continuous professional development.
·Strong knowledge of modern vehicle paint systems, colour matching, blending, and refinishing techniques.
·Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
·The ability to work efficiently while maintaining consistently high standards.
·Strong organisation and the ability to work effectively as part of a skilled workshop team.
·A professional approach to health and safety when working with paint products and workshop equipment.
·A full UK driving licence.
